Courage is a sacred psychological muscle that grows (or atrophies) over life experiences. You are looking for a new path on the foggy trail of your present situation and serendipity has lead you here. Get ready to experience a whole new way of looking at possibilities!
This is the place to give time to your soul. Mother Nature never hurries, but is always on time. We retreat in each season to remind ourselves of our wild nature and to re-assess the trail we follow.
We are experiencing a palpable lack of the sacred. This worldview is killing us with anxiety for what we know to be true rather than what we are repeatedly told. Good company, good food, and experiences with others is the new soul restoration. Rest/Retreat/Restoration are resistance.
This is a place where the wild women: the maidens, the mothers, and the crones have gathered for three decades. Where the knowledge of this circle is written in the age lines of trees and in our fingerprints.
We are disconnected from nature, but over-connected to technology. Told to be afraid of the wild. We’ve moved away from real. We now find ourselves hunted, silenced, and trapped in a sanitized data driven world without empathy, where feelings are shunned. Instead of filling what is missing with pills, we will smell a fistful of sage. We will soak in the purest water on earth.
The destructive, power centered society we live in today is accentuating that separation. A pandemic, political turbulence, and the continual destruction of women’s autonomy are the everyday experience for the last decade. This is the path that changes everything, in spite of everything else.
We feel in our bones that something is “off” and needs to be repaired and nurtured. That is our work. In office, online courses, and all-women retreats.
Oregon is the first state to legalize psilocybin as a therapeutic treatment. Scientific research has increasingly shown that psychedelic therapy has the potential to help people work through mental health issues such as depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and end-of-life anxiety.
I offer personal and group retreats that embrace plant medicine. Part of my retreats offer courses on how to grow your own medicine. That medicine can include many different strains of mushrooms and herbs (camomile for sleep, etc.) Part of the disconnect we experience in our mental health is a disconnect from nature and all of the natural healing paths we can actively surround ourselves within.

We will cover the intake form. We will spend the majority of time getting to know each other at a pace that is comfortable. A second session will generally be needed. Please let me know if you would like to ask questions, bring in a list of concerns, or bring topics you’d like to cover.
You are the expert in your life, so you come to the session with areas of concern that you would like to work on and focus on in your therapy time. You are the guide and the expert for what you need!
I love sessions that can take place in person at my office in downtown Hood River. It is a comfortable, quiet space. Telemed is also a modality I use often. I see clients from all over the world, so telemedicine is used most often. Though I LOVE my office with a view of the Columbia River. Retreats are 3 days and meet in various places throughout the Hood River area. Those are in-person only.
For the first 4-6 weeks, I strongly recommend that clients see me weekly. This is a delicate time where we both get to know each other and your concerns. After that, if you would like to change the frequency of our sessions, let me know. I prefer to work twice a month until you feel that you are ready to leave the counseling relationship. This is also a naturally healing time to consider attending a retreat with additional therapeutic resources.
